Our Organic selections are either certified by the USDA or Quality Assurance International (QAI). The aim of organic estates are to achieve long-term sustainability of soil fertility and productivity, protect the environment and create a system of farming that produces an economically viable tea that is free of chemicals. We also offer many teas from organic plantations grown in a system of chemical-free agriculture with a focus on environmental conservation, but these plantations may not offer an organic certification; therefore, we do not classify these in our organic category.

Tea Side Trader’s classic metal tin packaging material was decided upon after much research concluded that metal is the most recycled product in the U.S. today. Metal tins provide air tight, moisture free environments which fairs better for storing tea than other alternatives.

The natural Kraft stand-up pouches offer 2-ply metalized interior protection and a Kraft exterior which can be recycled. These pouches have a zip lock reclosable seal that offers a barrier from moisture, outside aromas and oxygen; therefore, maintaining the quality and freshness of the tea.
